Artist Linn Khant, a prominent Burmese talent, was born in the picturesque Yay Kyi Township of Ayeyarwaddy in 1961.
Linn Khant’s early artistic education commenced at the Yangon Painting and Sculpture School, where he delved into the realms of Basic Painting and Natural Painting. He dedicated three years of his life to honing his skills, from 1981 to 1984.
One of his early mentors, Sayar Gyi U Thukha, imparted the foundations of Basic Painting. Linn Khant was also fortunate to study Watercolor and Oil Paintings under the guidance of distinguished artists such as Sayar U Mya Aye, Bogalae U Kyaw Hlaing, and Saya U Ba Lone Lay. Beyond these influential figures, Linn Khant also drew inspiration from a roster of eminent artists, including U Thien Han, U Lun Gywe, U Ohme Lwin, Watercolor Painting U Kyi and U Thaung Han.
One of his most significant contributions was his involvement in creating comics for magazines, many comic books and storybooks. His use of oil and watercolor as mediums of expressions has garnered him widespread acclaim for the remarkable depth and vibrancy he brings to his creations.
