Saya Myit

Saya Myit (1888 – 1966) , Major painter of the Early Modern Period and later. Studied under M.T Hla. Did both Traditional religious paintings and secular Western-style works. His crowd landscape Procession works, in a mixed Western-Traditional style, are among the best works produced in Burma in the 20th century. A number of Traditional religious works from the 1930s-50s are notable .
