Win Pe Myint (WPM) is a Burmese Asian Modern & Contemporary artist who was born in 1948. He is a noted Burmese painter. He was born in  Minbu, Magwe Division, Burma. In 1970, he graduated from Rangoon Arts and Sciences University with a major in Botany. His interest in painting began during childhood, and he studied under four outstanding art masters: Lun Gywe, Shwe Oung Thame, Paw Oo Thet, and Thein Han. Notably, he should not be confused with the earlier Burmese painter Win Pe of Mandalay, who was born in 1936 and was a contemporary of Paw Oo Thet, contributing to the early foundations of modernist painting in Burma.

Win Pe Myint gained recognition for his excellent still life works, although in recent years, he has also explored landscapes and portraits. His artistic journey has been marked by various solo shows, including exhibitions of oil paintings, sketches, still life, and other themes. His studio, True Colour, opened in Hlaingthaya Township in February 2005, showcasing over a hundred of his paintings. Win Pe Myint’s work can be found in museum and library collections, including the National Museum of Myanmar, Central Library at Yangon University, Singtel in Singapore, Prudential Assurance in Singapore, and the Singapore Art Museum’s Artbank Collection.
